The company APNISI will establish an open IoT laboratory.

The infrastructure of the IoT network provides opportunities for organizations and universities to create and test new products and services.

Smart cities, homes, rural areas, and various other smart concepts are actively being developed to analyze real-time data, make informed decisions, and automate routine processes, enhancing efficiency.

The crucial component of this interconnected cycle is represented by IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, which are at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution. The integration and rapid deployment of IoT technology contribute to strategic challenges in public and private sectors, fostering significant investments in education, research, and IoT-driven solutions for economic development.

In Georgia, this focus is still in its early stages, either in different sectors of the economy or within the technology sector, with information not widely disseminated, and the expertise of specialists in this field still scarce.

To address this, an organization called Memorandum, established in 2016, has formed a company named Apnisi, which operates as the first IoT operator in the region.

Memorandum's initiatives include:

  • Establishing an open IoT network that provides opportunities for universities, technological startups, and all interested individuals to create, test, and prepare IoT products and services for commercial launch.
  • Creating an educational program that includes training for students and professionals of different levels.
  • Generating technological awareness materials (workshops, statistics, training) for specialists of various levels, discussing practical applications (use cases) with different approaches.

These efforts aim to promote the development and widespread adoption of IoT technologies in Georgia, aligning with the country's economic and technological growth.
